Original article: The difference is in Detail …
The difference between success and failure is invariably associated with the care we give to every detail. Details that together make us stand out from the competition and score a position. Now what I bring you today, besides the detail that lends the name also brings the details of a great Douro white wine. I present to you the ‘Pormenor Branco 2015’, a wine very well designed by Pedro Coelho and Luís Seabra who, from now on, deserve my Congratulations. Do you know what’s right here?
It would be an offense to my dear grandfather and great-grandfather, once a good tasco owner, to leave the reds aside. Sorry for any little things but I confess that lately I have opted to discover and try more white wines. Some surprising, others not so much, some more “acid”, others more fruity, the truth is that in Portugal we have the potential and the right people to produce high quality white wines like this ‘Detail 2015’.
Created from vineyards over 60 years old, located in Carrazeda de Ansiães, the Pormenor Branco is another example of the immense potential of the Douro Superior and the unique character that this sub-region confers on its wines. Harmonious and well structured is a wine that results in the perfect combination of three white varieties, Rabigato, Malvasia Fina and Códega do Larinho. Together they transform this ‘White Detail’ into an elegant and fresh wine that gives pleasure to drink even to the soil. Believe it or not we are faced with a wine that marks the palate and leaves in its persistent end the desire to return to “fill” the glass.
Here the Douro is dissected to the tiniest detail between notes and aromas, details, which make it a white wine of choice to accompany fish dishes or meat dishes like a chicken curry. Ui that now the Stoppers until harmonizations does, none of it, was the one that fit to accompany you and look that turned out very well.
