Pormenor Branco 2014 is produced with a blend of several typical grapes from Douro Region. Mainly Rabigato and Códega do Larinho. 2014 was a good year for whites. The grapes from very old vines planted in altitude between 400m and 500m, in Carrazeda de Ansiães – Douro Superior. The grapes were picked in late August in order to preserve the acidity, resulting in a very balanced wine. After a careful selection at the sorting table, the grapes fermented and aged in stainless steel vats with the must and minimal intervention untill bottling in order to keep freshness and minerality, which contrasts with a high acidity, typical characteristics from mica schist soils.
